Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world. Originating in China more than 2,000 years ago, acupuncture is the insertion and removal of fine needles to stimulate acupuncture points and meridians. In the past three decades electromagnetic research has confirmed the existence and location of these points. During an acupuncture treatment, needles are inserted, manipulated, and retained for a period of time. Acupuncture can be used to reduce pain, reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, increase range of motion, balance out hormones, increase fertility, decrease stress and tension, and reduce muscle spasm. Overall, acupuncture activates and boosts the bodies own internal healing resources to help the body deal with almost any imbalance.

Cupping is an ancient suction technique that is widely used throughout the world as a way of removing toxins and circulating areas of congestion and stagnation. In traditional fire cupping, a partial vacuum is created in glass cups, which are then applied to the skin, drawing up the underlying tissues. In biomedical terms, it moves blood and waste congesting in the surface tissues and muscles, promoting normal circulation and increased metabolic processes. By resolving local areas of congestion, cupping is effective in the treatment of pain, acute infectious illnesses, upper respiratory dysfunction, digestive issues, detoxification, migraines, and numerous other chronic conditions.

Reflexology is a very grounding and relaxing therapy based on the principle that there are small and specific areas of innervation in the hands and feet that correspond to specific muscle groups or organs of the body. In this system, the nerve endings in the extremities provide a map of the rest of the body. Through the application of pressure on particular areas of the hands or feet, reflexology promotes benefits such as detoxification, relaxation of tension, improvement of circulation, and support of normalized function in the related area in the body.
